We decided to produce a tavern first because, let's face it, every fantasy campaign has a tavern in it. The characters' home town has a local establishment or there was one written into one of your early adventure modules or there is one in the port where the characters' ship just landed, the list goes on. Whatever the reason, every fantasy GameMaster needs a tavern environment and here at Hexed!, we've decided to give each of you your very own custom tavern..

Of course, you can choose the 3' Linear Scale or the 5'-Scale, depending upon your gaming system, but the flexibility doesn't end there. Our product is designed to be completely customizable from the ground up, starting with the floors, which are offered in stone or wood, with hexes or squares

The walls come in a variety of standard section types, including straight (at various lengths,) corners and T-corners. These section types are designed to be modular so that the user can print as many as needed of the pieces required and construct a tavern of any floorplan imaginable.

The tavern can be constructed with just one floor or with multiple levels. A modular balcony piece is provided, and a variety of handrail arrangement optons are offered for this and the stairs.

The stairs provided can be built either straight or with a corner landing, and can be placed just about anywhere.

The stairs are designed so that a 25mm figure can stand easily on any stair level, to represent a character who is part-way up/down the stairs or to show the character's height above the floor at any given moment.

All the basic wall section types have interior &/or exterior textures and are offered with optional textures, so they can appear fresh or weathered. Many offer an optional window or door as well. In addition, the package includes doors and windows that can be printed flat and glued onto any wall section for further customization.

A fireplace & chimney are included & can be placed on any wall section, and of course, the package also includes a variety of signs to identify the tavern, with a blank one so you can create your own name for it if you want.

 

Like all our products, the tavern package includes accessories for the environment, such as "decor" items that can be "hung" (cut out & glued) on the walls, generic and specialized furniture, key inventory items, and other accoutrements that we feel should be found in an establishment of this sort. "The devil is in the details," and the key to your ability to customize this product is in the specialty sheets.

The Fantasy/Medieval Tavern is the first in a planned ongoing series of Cellulose Scenix™ 3D Visual Aids for a broad range of gaming genres. In the future, Hexed! will release other versions of this concept, including an Old West Saloon and a Future/Spaceport Cantina, among others.
